Among Ukrainians are many academics and researchers whose work at universities or research institutions, as well as plans for future academic projects, have been severely disrupted. This applies both to those remaining in Ukraine, where research activities have been profoundly affected by the war, and to those who have sought refuge abroad. Both individuals and the wider academic community face considerable challenges in continuing their scientific and scholarly development.
As part of a broader support initiative funded by the Ministry of Science and Culture of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Science Network Platform NRW-Ukraine seeks to promote collaboration in research and academic projects. It offers Ukrainian researchers — whether still in Ukraine or displaced — the chance to connect with universities and research institutions in NRW, fostering partnerships and supporting the continuation of their academic work.
